We are proud to work with companies who produce beautiful homewares for us, fairly and ethically. Although our products come from far and wide we have a strong philosophy of working with Fairtrade organisations and local co-operatives, where we can, to ensure sustainable working conditions.
For farmers and workers Fairtrade means workers' rights, safer working conditions and fairer pay. For shoppers it means high quality, ethically produced products. RE supports projects all over the world, each doing their bit to help and give back to the local community. From Mexico to India, Bhutan to Senegal (and many many more). Our store is a hub of artisan homeware and decor from all over the globe; baskets from Guatemela and Peru; recycled sari cards and twine from Bangladesh; wire cards from Kenya and charmed chandeliers, handmade in Egypt by a co-operative of single women, mainly young mums and widows, the work providing them with a steady and fair income to help support them and their families.
